Living in a student apartment can be a completely new adventure than life at a dorm. Rather than suffering through close living quarters and getting stuck with bad roommates, you can try something new. There are some elements of dorm life you enjoy, but there is much more fun to experience when you live on your own. Here are the reasons you should transition from dorms to student apartments.

Privacy

When you are in a dorm room, there are times you will wish you were living on your own. Even if you enjoy the company of your roommate, you may crave more solitude. With the University of Oklahoma off campus housing, you can enjoy individual bedrooms that you can lock to keep others out. You can also have a private bathroom that no one else has access to. You also have a full-sized kitchen that comes with a dishwasher and microwave, an in-unit laundry, 42? HDTV in the living room, and attractive leather-style furniture.

Fewer Restrictions

In dorms or residence halls, you will have a set of rules for living in that building. There may be limitations on how late you can stay out and how many guests you can invite home. Yet, you have fewer restrictions with the University of Oklahoma off campus housing. You can come and go as you please without being monitored by a resident advisor. If you want to invite friends over to spend time at the pool or basketball court, you are free to do so.
