If you want to strengthen your muscles, then you should do two to six reps and lift heavier weights. You should lift lighter weights and do more reps if you want to train for endurance. If you want to increase your muscle volume, then you will need to do eight to 12 reps and lift the heaviest weight possible.

Know Your Equipment

There are several ways that you can do weight training. You can use free weights or use a machine. It may be easier for you to use a machine because it will stabilize your body for you. Weight training can also be performed with resistance bands.
